Renowned author Mrs. Syeda Saleha Burhana honored the occasion.

Madina Degree & PG College for Women, Himayathnagar celebrated 32nd Annual day cum Cultural extravaganza, โ€œTaleem aur Tehzeeb,โ€ on 7th March, 2024 at M.A Garden, Hyderguda. It was a well organized & successful event graced by eminent personalities from Hyderabad. Mrs.P Vijaya Reddy, General Secretary, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee was the chief guest. Dr.Talath Sultana, HOD, Dean and Executive Council Member, Osmania University and Dr Maryam Afifa, Consultant Neurosurgeon and First Muslim female Neurosurgeon of India were the Guests of Honor.

The program commenced with the welcome song presented by the B.Sc students, followed by college report presentation by the principal, Mrs.Afroze Asfia. She presented the glorious journey of Madina Degree & PG College for Women & its accomplishments in the past 32 yrs. Various dances were performed by the students of B.Sc & B.Com from different genre, reflecting the rich culture and heritage of India. A Skit on โ€œDigital Transformationโ€ was performed by the students under the guidance of the English department.

The director of MDPGC, Mr.K.M.Minhajuddin felicitated the Chief guest. The Guests of Honor were felicitated by Co-director, Mrs. Nida Sultan and Principal Mrs. Afroze Asfia, respectively. All the guests congratulated the college for the tremendous growth and success, that it has achieved since itโ€™s inception and also shared their experiences with the students and inspired them to take up their education seriously and accomplish their goals.

The attraction of the day was the โ€œqawwaliโ€ and โ€œGhazalโ€ performances by the students who were undergoing training since one month by Mr Sultan Mirza , a renowned musician of Hyderabad. Later, the prizes were distributed to the Academic toppers. โ€˜The Best Studentโ€™ award from B.Sc was given to Hiba Rehman of B.Sc III Yr, Sumaiya Bin Saleh of B.Com III Yr and to Soofia Tabassum of M.Sc II Yr. โ€˜The Rolling Shieldโ€™ award to commemorate the founder of Madina Degree & PG College for Women, Mr.K.M.Arifuddin sir, was bagged by Rahma Qasim syed, student of M.Sc .

Finally, vote of thanks was given by the program Co-ordinator, Mrs. Nausheen Sultana. The event culminated by rendering National Anthem.
